FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS
Commonly asked questions about our admissions process.
Who is a good fit for the Milestones program?
Milestones would benefit someone desiring to work on multiple traumas or complex trauma at a slower, individualized, and intentional pace. We specialize in various therapeutic modalities proven to combat trauma and its effects, including sleeplessness, anxiety, depression, and co-dependency.
What is included in my program costs?
In addition to the therapeutic work, your program includes boutique accommodations, meals curated to meet your dietary needs, thoughtfully designed facilities, expansive outdoor space, and hiking trails for exploration and nature-guided healing.
Do you take insurance?
Milestones does not directly bill insurance companies for payment or offer a super bill. However, our team can connect you with a third-party insurance advocate who can help with potential insurance reimbursement.
Do I have to be referred by a mental health professional?
Many of our clients are referred to Milestones by their professional support, but you do not need a referral to apply for admission.
If you are presently working with a therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or other professional support leading up to, during, and after the Milestones Experience, we will collaborate with your support system in the way that’s most helpful for you.
How do I know if Milestones is right for me?
When you’re ready to take the next step, our trusted admissions team will connect with you to understand your specific goals and needs. If Milestones is not a fit for you, they will provide you with referrals to other trusted resources and programs.
How long is the Milestones Program?
Milestones offers a variable length of stay between 30 to 90 days, depending on individual needs, progress, and goals.
Will anyone know about my participation?
Milestones has strict confidentiality guidelines to protect participants’ anonymity in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and regulations. View our HIPAA Privacy Statement concerning your health records here.
Does Milestones do addiction recovery?
Milestones is a great companion to addiction recovery work. We are not set up to assist clients in active addiction. Our Admissions Team has resources that we can provide for clients to seek recovery before attending Milestones.
Can I use my electronics while at Milestones?
Milestones is intentional about creating an environment that will maximize the effectiveness of the therapeutic work. To help you focus on the work at hand, TV is limited to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday unless otherwise approved by the treatment team.
Upon admission, you will be required to turn in all electronics, including but not limited to cell phones, computers, iPads, etc. You will not have access to your cell phone for the duration of the program. Basic iPods that do not connect to the Internet or have
a camera can be used for music.
Will there be opportunities for physical activity and exercise?
During your time at Milestones, you will have access to a gym, hiking trail, and other outdoor activities during scheduled times. Yoga will be offered weekly
throughout the program.
